We recently signed up with MacFarlane after purchasing a new home. They have been super responsive and helpful ever since! Cheryl was so friendly and knowledgeable when she came for the initial tank inspection and helped get us set up. Harry just came and did the annual tune up and he was also really friendly and knowledgeable. Great experiences so far and highly recommend!

David Clifford was fantastic during his visit to my house. Friendly and courteous, David took care of the issue with my furnace and explained what he was trying to fix as he worked around. He later remembered an issue he had spotted with our oil tank and gave me a call to tell me what it was and how the get it fixed. I give David very high marks all around.

MacFarlane has been extremely helpful and professional every time we’ve called them. They worked with us through Mass Save to install our heat pump system a couple of years ago and come out for our tune up calls quickly and easily. Their tech arrival app is fantastic for tracking with pups in the house to settle before they arrive.

Wayne from MacFarlane Energy provided professional service on 2 heating systems. One was a buderus blue flame that many service people are not trained to service. Wayne knee the system well and went through the service leaving a clean work space and a well working system. The other system was a conventional US manufactured oil burner and oil water heater. Also for these burners hus service was thorough.

I was extremely pleased with MacFarlane Energy. They were so well organized and responsive. They had someone out to do an assessment the next day, I had written estimates by that afternoon and was able to schedule an install a day later. Communication was excellent. Text messages sent when the techs were en route, with a photo and name of the technician attached. The work crew was courteous, clean and thorough. They spend ample time explaining the process and double checking with me any potential issues. I recommend them highly.

I called your service department today and asked if someone could please come by to check out my furnace which was running loudly, and making odd sounds, (for safety and my peace of mind) … Jacob came and he ended up having to do a tuneup, (a little earlier than was due).

Bill from MacFarlane Energy came on a Sunday as my heat went out but this time I didn’t try to get it started. So when he came over this time the heat was off and he quickly discovered the problem. He replaced my aquastat and my heat has been on since. And no charge as I am a new customer on a two year plan. As usual, Bill was courteous, pleasant, and informative.

I called McFarlane Energy to send a technician by to see why I had no hot water, the technician came out that day and fixed the issues and I was up and running again. I like that I have had the same person several different times and he communicates well so I understand what happened and what he did to fix it. I also like that they send you text updates on who's coming and their arrival time. Good company I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Joe Richter was great! He arrived early and was very friendly. He took his time and explained a lot of things to me. My wife and I are new home owners and we never had an oil system before. He explained where the oil will go when it’s delivered and how to turn on our furnace. I really appreciated the time that he took to explain everything to me. I had my entire HVAC system replaced over the last 2 days. Luis, Chris & one other technician, did an amazing job. The were efficient, friendly and informative, taking the time to answer all my questions and explain the differences between the old and the new system. They even swept the entire basement, leaving it cleaner than when they started. Amazing!
Having interviewed 4 other companies for this job, I'm so pleased that I chose MacFarlane Energy. They are the best.

David is like family. We had a boiler issue. I called MacFarlane Energy. David came out same day. Stayed until 8 PM. Fixed our boiler. We slept warm and comfy that night thanks to him. Can I saw anything more? No. David and MacFarlane energy deserve 5+ stars.

Both of the service techs that came out were friendly and knowledgeable and each did their job well (initial identification of the problem) and then eventual repair.

Update: we ended up using MacFarlane for our heat pump via MassSave's heat loan program! From Jerry's consultation, to getting a quote and finally getting the install done I am extremely happy. Mike, Chris and Luis did an amazing job on the install and left my house spotless. Luis sat with me and walked me through tying the system to our Nest. At this point I'm sure I'll be using MacFarlane for many years to come.

Recently, MacFarlane energy installed three mini splits in our difficult old home. They did an excellent job, start to finish. The first analysis of the issues involved was thorough, and considered all of the unique aspects of this installation. The actual work was done quickly, on time, with consideration for the homeowner, respect for the outdoor property, as well as the appearance indoors. Truly, the crew could not have been better, in terms of the ingenuity and knowledge they brought to the task, and the solutions they created. Throughout the whole process, they were really fun to have around! I am very grateful that I chose this company to do this work.
