2014 has been a big year for MacFarlane Energy, and not just because of the grueling winter we helped our customers overcome in the first quarter. This year also has been important for us, because our company was honored with several prestigious awards.
First, on September 22, at the Southern New England Energy Conference, a gathering of more than 250 energy marketers from across the region, MacFarlane Energy President Scott D. MacFarlane received the 2014 Massachusetts Energy Marketers Association (MEMA) Leadership Award. The award was presented to Scott by MEMA President Michael Ferrante at a special Awards Dinner ceremony.
Just a few weeks later, in early October, MacFarlane Energy was recognized yet again, this time with the Energi Inc. 2014 Excellence in Risk Management Award. Energi Inc. is a company that provides risk management and insurance solutions for the energy industry. MacFarlane Energy partners with them to ensure the safety of our employees and customers alike. Because we were one of the "best performing companies from a safety perspective" in 2014, MacFarlane Energy is now on the Energi Risk Mitigation & Safety Wall of Fame.
